Leach / Hendricks Barn
The Thresher Association was awarded a Cheyenne County Hansen Community Grant of $10,000 in 2018.
In order to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity and a longtime goal of our organization to finally have an authentic historically significant barn and location to display our valuable collection of restored horse drawn farm implements, we need funding to prepare a concrete floor and pay for the safe transport of the building from the donating farm to the Thresher Grounds. Constructed in 1916 by Noah Leach to provide shelter for his Draft Horses it it is over 100 years old and in good structure condition. This structure will make a valuable addition to the Tri-State Antique Engine & Thresher Association. The organization will seek to preserve the structure for future generations to enjoy.
